Do you find yourself reaching for a small pot like that frequently? I have been told that size isn’t too convenient for sheng, which is primarily what I’m drinking these days.
It depends on the quality of your tea. The more precious and pricey the teas are, the more natural the choice of a small pot becomes...
Aside that part, I do like the "esspresso" way of making some of my teas, 40ml is ideal for that. I use these sizes quite often.

Another thing is that a lot of very nice antique pots are this small. Just the pleasure of handling them makes me forget any volume concerns I might have. This pot for example would actually look stupid if it were scaled larger.

I’ve actually found the opposite issue, a lot of pots I’ve been looking at are a tad too large for my liking. There have been some 40-60ml pots on ZAG that have caught my eye as well. They actually have a 60ml in that style in what looks like reduction fired clay right now, although a bit wider profile. I will take note to not worry about the size too much. As I’m sure I can find a use for a precious antique of any size hehe
