Nice clay!
Duanni clay - underrated clay?
It depends on the quality of your tea. The more precious and pricey the teas are, the more natural the choice of a small pot becomes...Escentually wrote: ↑Sun Mar 23, 2025 7:24 pmDo you find yourself reaching for a small pot like that frequently? I have been told that size isn’t too convenient for sheng, which is primarily what I’m drinking these days.

Aside that part, I do like the "esspresso" way of making some of my teas, 40ml is ideal for that. I use these sizes quite often.
Another thing is that a lot of very nice antique pots are this small. Just the pleasure of handling them makes me forget any volume concerns I might have. This pot for example would actually look stupid if it were scaled larger.

I’ve actually found the opposite issue, a lot of pots I’ve been looking at are a tad too large for my liking. There have been some 40-60ml pots on ZAG that have caught my eye as well. They actually have a 60ml in that style in what looks like reduction fired clay right now, although a bit wider profile. I will take note to not worry about the size too much. As I’m sure I can find a use for a precious antique of any size heheBok wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 7:37 amIt depends on the quality of your tea.
