Guess that means the pot will have to go into a temporary retirement until I can come across someone who can do that kind of work. A bit disappointed that there isn't really any other way to fix it but I guess I shouldn't have expected a perfect fix for a break like this anyway.
All I can do for now is make sure this kind of thing doesn't become a habit I suppose
