Round Yixing, oppinions?
Another one from the in-laws:
A heavily used pot, with a nice shiny patina. Thin walled and well done, but I am not quite sure what it is? Brews well, so in the worst case it is some generic clay that does not impart any flavour on the tea. Inside tool marks inside look a bit odd to me...
Thanks to the tea-cloud in advance for any input!

Nice xishi! Such a short, tiny spout. Cute!
Cute, how does that little spout pour?
Pours a wonderful clean arc of water, no dribbling or anything.
Thanks for all the other feedback as well!
I am using it in a infrequently visited location, not to have to carry stuff around, for that it is perfect with its neutral properties.
Cool, the inside of spout must be tooled to create a good arc. I have a porcelain pot with a spout like that, it drips straight down

I've only seen such short spouts on xishi when they are Taiwanese made. If I had to guess, I'd say it's Taiwanese red clay.
I had the exact same thought when I saw this. The pour from these can be grand, by the way.tingjunkie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 11:27 pmI've only seen such short spouts on xishi when they are Taiwanese made. If I had to guess, I'd say it's Taiwanese red clay.
