Repair suggestions?
This teapot was damaged in shipping. It's my favorite shape. I received a replacement, but am wondering about repairing this one. The handle is broken off obviously and there is a crack to the rim. Any suggestions for a nice repair and is it worth it?

I guess that the cost of Kintsugi repair will extend well beyond the price of the pot. I would say at least $100 (but probably much more). If you got a replacement you can also try yourself with some JB Weld. It might not be very pretty or easy but usable....
Yes, that was my thought. I don't know the true value of this teapot, if value is higher than what I paid. The replacement teapot was actually a little better quality clay that this one.

Clay looks low fired and average quality. Imho it's not worth paying someone to fix it especially since this isn't a well used pot with sentimental value. Do a DIY apoxy job on it.
Is this the one from Vancouver Chinese tea shop?
No. From ebay vendor. I have a similar 140ml pot from him, clay a littler better, brews humid stored tea nicely. He stated that originally these were complimentary teapots included with purchase from Fu Jian tea company I think. Below is a pic of the replacement for the broken pot. It also brews well.
Is there something similar from Vancouver tea shop?
