Please elaborate? It is about how the bottom of the pot is made? Or the type of clay?
@steanze
Any knowledge you can share about XiaoMingJia pots? I did some searching last year, and I couldn’t find much info. I have another XiaoMingJia pot from a reputable seller, so this term has been puzzling me

Mostly made in mid-late 80s, they have the artisan name stamped, clay quality and workmanship tends to be pretty decent, but they are not particularly rare or valuable. They are reasonable pots that tend to be available for reasonable prices.
@steanze
Thanks for the tips

Here’s an example of authentic 1940’s shui ping for comparison. The interior on you pot is a dead giveaway.
I’d avoid buying any pots from this seller since they are either dishonest or not very knowledgeable about zisha.

Nice late 80’s pot @DailyTX
It reminds me of the one I sold awhile back. I’m still on the look out for the heixingtu version of this one.

I adopted your old papaya

When I get a chance, I’ll take a photo with both papayas

Do not even have to look inside, the outside tells you everything you need to know.
More papaya photos to start the weekend! @Chadrinkincat, the left is your old papaya

@DailyTX Lovely papaya pairing! How many ML’s are you working with? Also, what have you been brewing in them?
