Thanks Zisha Art Gallery is normally too expensive for me, but maybe, I will buy a specific pot there some time. Most likely, I won't buy another pot this year. I still got three more in the mail, and I won't have that much time to spend when the corona crisis is over. I am also running out of space, so I have to sell some pots first.

So this pot is from the Zisha Art Gallery?? Also, it seems like you may have a pot or two from them. What is your experience with their Yixing?

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I have not bought a pot from Zisha Art Gallery yet. They are selling genuine F1 pots though.

Understood, thank you for clarifying. They seem legit, but I have not found much insight looking over previous discussion. I have been eyeing a few pots from them. They have a nice Duan Ni pot, but I have no experience with Duan Ni, and the consensus is not clear. I have heard good for green, white, yellow...good for shou and black tea...and not really good for any tea. The Zhuni pot I like has quite the price tag, as you mentioned some of their offerings to be.

ZAG is confirmed to have authentic, quality vintage and antique. I know this also first hand of friends who buy from them on a regular basis. But the quality comes with a price tag. No deals to be made there.

But of advice, disregard the consensus on Yixing clay... especially if you dip into vintage. Too many other factors and the consensus is often wrong or inaccurate. Especially in the West due to lack of information and abundance of half- or wrong information.

Also, everyone’s taste is different, method of preparation is different, quality of tea is different. And so on... first judgement for me would be: do I like the pot, would I mind it sitting on my shelf if it doesn’t work out for my teas?

Prices are high but the quality is also high.

This is my only pot from ZAG. Price was $420. I love the pot but in hind sight I should had just saved up for a LQER or 60’s pot instead since those are much harder to find elsewhere.

This is a mismatched pot. The lid and the body are from 2 different pots.

Yup... for real... My advise.... save up your hard earned money for something else. No idea based on 1 photo alone.

There are more photos on eBay, but yeah, I won't buy it. It's too expensive/ too small anyway. The shipping is more than €100 to Germany. I was just interested what you have to say about it.

@Chadrinkincat That's a nice teapot!! How do you like the clay's affect, compared to other Yixing you have? What tea have you devoted it to?

This was my curiosity if it’s a mismatch pot. Now that @OCTO pointed out. If you look at the 3rd photo with the lid uncovered. The inner lid looks like hongni/zhuni with a smooth texture. When you comparing with photos on the side and bottom, which I think it’s Zini with rougher texture. Shipping cost 10 bucks for me in the US. If it’s under 200 usd, I may be curious to put a bid this reminded me of a tuition pot that has vintage lid and modern body. Due to lighting, the color looks similar, but when held the pot in front of you, it’s very clear

My favorite part is the sticker label with No.10 written on the bottom of the pot--very nice vintage feel
