FS: Chaozhou teapot, 100ml

This is a modern Chaozhou teapot, but made of authentic Chaozhou clay, unlike vintage pots it is left unglazed and has sort of wabi-sabi feel to it.

It’s workmanship and handling is as perfect as if it were Japanese, the water stream when poured is perfect! It is light-weight.

It’s from the same artist you might have seen promoted recently and over the last year on social media

It brews a very good cup of Dancong, but does well in general with roasted Oolongs. At the moment the pot is well seasoned with Dancong. I can reset it on request! I will take more pictures tomorrow. For now only an in-action image.

Artisan is called Zhanwei. No one famous as far as I know, but part of a new generation of Chinese potters doing their own thing, being a bit more free in their expression, instead of copying the old masters. I have rarely seen Chinese pots that were this well made in terms of precision and functionality.
