Oh, I did not know that. At least I was right with the fact that this is an antique. Learning never stops...
Pots like this are commonly seen in pewter (usually from late qing/early roc).
EDIT: Here's one in yixing, supposedly from factory 1: https://research.britishmuseum.org/rese ... more-views

Unfortunately, I cannot open your Facebook links. Could you please check this link?

I like the handle :P but if you are right and this is a non F1 or laser era pot, I will most likely return it because it's not worth $143 to me.

Today, I have seen this antique pot. I did not buy it, but the design is interesting. Why does the teapot consist of two parts. What's the purpose of this? The teapot is about 4 inch tall.

Thanks for the useful links.
Now, after seeing this laser era pot, I think you are probably right. I am curious what the Facebook group will say.

The “please drink oolong tea” pot at the earliest would be early 90’s or laser era if real.

As far as I’ve read it has no connection to the famous ones w/ 22 character seal. There are a few 90’s examples from the book. Here’s a few from FB and one from 2088tea

Also that tea set shares some of the wonky flaws of these early-late 90’s pots but I don’t believe this pot is right for these eras either since I’ve seen this set in person. I’ve been wrong before so it’s possible I’m wrong in case but that would still make this set over priced.

The book in the photos has very good quality images. Do you happened to know the name of this book? Or is it a catalogue?

It is Dr Lu's book on Yixing factory 1 early teapots II (no there is no volume I published and according to him, he abandoned the initial plan for it :). You can buy it via the fb group. Chinese only. Well worth the money. Could avoid some a lot of tuition purchases...

and @Chadrinkincat should probably ask him for permission to post images of it...

Just msg dr Lu directly via that fb group about his book Early Teapot Vol 2. It’s pretty heavy though, so be prepared for the shipping cost as well

Ah, the Bible of factory yixing haha. Will add to the wish list :). Shipping in United States seems crazy. I probably shouldn’t order stuff until things settled. I recently ordered a vintage chazhou tea set, couldn’t track package even with tracking number. The set arrived by surprise, and pot came with broken handle
I did my first JB weld repair...it will be a good set to display

No, not in the book, might be one of the original Yixing factory catalogues.
Anyways, any major style collectible is in Lu's book, the rest you can forget hahaha

You remember my Duanni pot? I do not think that this pot is in Dr Lu's book. You can find it in the other book though. Okay, maybe you do not think that they are worth collecting, but I like those pots. ;)

I think the book is somehow connected to this Facebook group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/499515196825991/ They use it as a reference quite often. If someone knows how to get a copy of this book please let me know.

He only covers the white label and later period in passing as this is already later factory and with clay full of additives. I remember there are some of those green and blue clay pots in there just for the sake of it

But there are also no decorated green label pots in Dr Lu's book, I think. At least I have not seen a picture of it.

Here are three more screenshots from Facebook. This book seems to be very helpful.

There are a couple of more ornamented pots in there, but most of those really started after green label. Before creative liberties were little...
