I looked at them. I like the most Luo Han pots from chantingpines.com (although I am kind of skeptic about their grading system) but they are around 250 dollars. I am looking for De Zhong or Luo Han or Tai Jian pot.
So you think Zhuni for 250$ is too much?

@Bok
Not at all. But someone here said that I can buy better pot for less money, so I thought that 250 is too much

It depends on the clay. Zhuni is very expensive. I do not know the price difference between Zhuni and Hongni, but Hongni pots are easier to find in my opinion. That's because F1 did not use Zhuni clay (right?). Zini pots are even more inexpensive. That's the reason why I got many green label Zini pots, 2 Hongni green label pots but no Zhuni pot. :lol: NZWH clay is also cheaper, but I did not find a good one yet.

I wouldn’t trust any Zhuni under 250. That is already quite low.

F1 did use Zhuni. Not much, but there are some. Look up Dr Lu’s book, few are in there, I think only early factory had some.

NZWH is cheap and a lot of them around, but there’s a reason for it: mostly bad quality and not sought after by Asian collectors.

Oh, I did not know this. Is this the book from the Facebook group? If I remember correctly it was too expensive for me.

Not everything in Dr. Lu’s book is F1. The back section has a number of zhuni pots but unless I’m mistaken all of them are pre-factory.

The book is $125-135 including shipping. It’s a beautiful book that is well worth the price.

@Chadrinkincat I don’t remember either, have to go through it again. In any case I’ve seen a couple of 60 or 70s Zhuni(can’t recall) in real life at friends places. So they did definitely exist.

@Mark-S that book is quite thick and full of pictures, well worth the money. Investing in knowledge might save you from more tuition fee pots...

Exactly! Others buy three crappy fake pots, full of chemicals and whatnot with no real value at all... for the same price in total

How many pages does it have? And how large are the pages? And is it all in Chinese? (That would be a problem :lol: )

All Chinese. Larger than A4. Page count you can probably find on the FB page. Seriously, any picture book in Hugendubel( :mrgreen:) has books of similar size in a similar price range...

I am not sure if I am mixing something up, but are they not working on an English translation? So it would not be a wise idea to buy it now. If somebody knows the page count please let me know. Unfortunately, there is no Kindle edition for less money. :lol:

I am in contact with Dr Lu frequently, I doubt an English version will be ready anytime soon... Kindle is also not advisable, the whole point of this pic are the images, which you will be able to appreciate and use much better in a physical object.
