Yancha lovers?

Zini is not Zini. There are so many which behave differently than what the consensus says

I got one fine Zini which is not unlike Zhuni in the way it brews tea...

Another round of 2017 HuiYanKeng RouGui... clean, aromatic, deep flavour. Finishing off the last bit in the bag. Leaves are a little crushed at the bottom but still packs a punch! Perfect to help ease the digestive system after a round of mooncakes! hahahaha....

You use zini for RG? Doesn't it take away too much from the aroma? Or how do you brew it?

Yes it’s a 80s DCQ, basically it’s also ZiNi by nature. This specific pot is a good match for YanCha. You are right to say that it takes off a little of the aroma. This brew is the last bottom leaves in the pack. Crush and broken leaves outnumber the whole leaves. Hence, the pot shaved off some of the bitterness and sharp edges, bringing the aroma up to the surface.... I have a regular ZhuNi and HongNi pot for RG....

Ah, yeah, sounds about what I do too. Don't know why I suddenly thought you make all yancha in zini. Usually based on how I found the tea to act in a Gaiwan I choose either zini or zhuni for the tea too. Don't have a good hongni yet.

I like DCQ for Yancha... I converted my only Duani pot into a raw PE pot because of @OCTO, yea his fault again...

Christmas tea came early!!! Enjoying a competition

ShuiXian that made it's round during the recent YanCha competition organised by WuYi Star on 18th November 2020. Photos speaks for itself.... aroma, aftertaste, mouthfeel, floral fragrance.... I can feel Rudolf zooming across my palettes... hahahahaha.....
