Re: Question on stockpiled clay
Regarding point two, someone had told me all modern yixing clay has additives, but I don't think that's true, correct? There's a vendor mentioned in another thread that tests the clays they use for certain additives, if that's your main concern you might be interested Facebook vendor: Chemical Free...

Re: Question on stockpiled clay
Yeah I would too Both websites say similar things about how their sourcing of clay and both have nice looking teapots. What exactly are you seeing that makes you pick one or the other? The EoT pots are a bit cheaper, other than that I can't really say anything really explicit. I don't think M&L is ...

Re: Question on stockpiled clay
Not a teapot person but I wouldn't infer too much about the quality of the clay just because it's from huanglongshan (and there's also the possibility that it's not even from there and someone somewhere along the line said that to make it sound more desirable) I think the EoT and M&L pots are genera...

To add to that, in the past he and some other potters had (blogspot) blogs, might be worth checking them out

Re: Western facing F1 vendors list
Hi, I’ve read quite a bit on this forum and I know ZAG is recommended but the site is not secure. Does anyone know if it has always been that way? I have been hunting for a new pot and ZAG definitely has the most comprehensive collection I have seen (on sites I can navigate) but being non-secure ha...

Re: Your favorite Dan Cong vendor?
Some people on Discord have ordered from her, she has a range of teas at different price points. The reception seemed to be a bit mixed on some teas but not negative overall. I saw Youzi got some. Kyarazen sometimes sells her teas on his webshop, I feel like he has pretty decent taste in tea so I ta...

Re: Chen YuanHao
Curious to see why a specific tea would be 40% of retail sold in Taiwan? Even after the generous discount it's still triple of for how much the tea can be (occasionally and unofficially) purchased in Taiwan. ;) That would make more sense business-wise. It is also not reasonable to expect any major ...

Re: Tea Tasting Journals?
I wanted to get a tea tasting journal with a flavor wheel and so forth, because I thought it would help me learn to distinguish the difference between teas better through guided practice You can use a computer with a writing tablet, but other than that I don't think there's really anything better t...

Re: What's the difference among Song Zhong, Dongfanghong and Tongtianxiang?
In principle they refer to specific teas, in practice I don't know how closely the naming is always related to things like 'varietals' or famous trees

Re: My problem with brewing with a thermos
To clarify, you are using hot water from the thermos to brew tea in a different vessel? I guess that can work, but I would say the better options would be either to thermos brew like Bok said or see if you can get an electric kettle at your workplace
