I know pretty much nothing of tea in Bangladesh tea but it seems they produce quite a lot of it.

A good friend is back in Bangladesh for a while after many years and is keen to track down a little good quality home grown tea.

Any suggestions or pointers?

He found these guys: kazitea.com

Drinking some organic orthodox loose leaf green tea, and have some of the oolong too. Interesting stuff, first thought on getting a whiff of the green tea was a strong bi lo chun character but the leaf is quite dark and the liquor has a bit of the red tea to it.

A great deal of the ground water in Bangladesh is contaminated with arsenic. It causes problems for many of the people there and also makes its way into plant tissues.

A few cups of tea might not hurt but I wouldn’t make a habit of drinking tea grown in areas with dangerous amounts of heavy metals in the soil and water.

All the same, thank you for sharing your experience with their tea. It sounds fascinating.
