I'm going to travel to Suzhou, China soon and plan to purchase some Biluochun on the side. I really love drinking this kind of tea!
And I'll also take the chance to explore this beautiful city of Suzhou!

Maybe not the best season to buy green tea? Harvest is long over… be wary, what’s left will likely not be good grade stuff.

Good time for that, less tourists so you’ll probably be able to get the non-suffocating experience of the beautiful gardens. Going there myself in December. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of Suzhou.

As for blc, not sure how easy it is to source excellent quality stuff even locally if you’re kind of randomly visiting stores. I’m sure you’ll be able to find something decent enough though, just don’t expect a better price to quality ratio than you would from the same kinds of shops in other major cities. “Local” really doesn’t mean that much in this day and age, unless you have good private sources.

But a mid-tier tea can taste amazing in the right environment. Go for some tea at the tea house next to Tiger Hill, for instance.
