Interestingly to me the Foshou both tasted very similar in profile to Taiwan Foshou. As recall, in principle related varietals, but with centuries past, very likely now a distinct varietal. Yet the similarities are there. Albeit the Taiwanese one I tasted had more depth.
What Oolong Are You Drinking
As far as I know, it is a rarely used varietal these days. Might also not always be specified.

After more time with Tea Habitat’s Dancongs, my aforementioned review doesn’t hold water. Recently doubled down and ordered many more oz’s of Imen’s DC. Love ‘em.TeaTotaling wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 1:17 pmI have only ordered one round of tea from DJ Donny, back when I was new on the scene. There was 30g’s of Dancong in that order, his selected Da Wu Ye from Fengxi Village. That tea was unmistakably juicy and tropical on the palate. Better than the two I have sampled from TH, so far, funny enough. Have you ever ordered from Tea Habitat?
Taiwan's Li Shan from Hojo. I'm getting spoiled when I get such good material and the leaves are in great condition.
Beautiful florals with a candy sweet aftertaste. I melted in my chair, such good tea to kick off the day.

Collect from Sanxia farmer but the plantation is locate in Xindian Region (farmer claimed it’s >40yrs)
Xidian is special region, half Wenshan (文山) - PingLing (坪林)+Shidin(石碇)+Muzha(木柵)+Xidian(新店)
And half Haishan(海山) - Sanxia(三峽)+Xindian(新店)+others
This plantation is closed to Sanxia instead of Shidin.

This plantation was already Land expropriation in late 90’.
