I recently started a new tea blog, TheMellifiedCup.Wordpress.com

The blog will focus on reviews and comparisons of teas, but also contain tea “experiments” like home roasting oolong and growing tea plants, as well information and guides for beginners.

I would love any recommendations or feedback that you can give me, be it positive or negative.

I love the photos in your reviews. That 200X Wuliang looks tasty! What year is? I didn't see it mentioned in the review.

Thank you! I'm a bit self conscious about most of my pictures (other than the banner photo which I'm really proud of) so it's nice to hear that you like them. I don't have great lighting in my house, so I have to take the pictures by a window or outside in the afternoon or they look to dark/yellowed.

W2T says they don't know for sure the year of the 200X, the "X" is supposed to be like a "blank" denoting that the tea is from an unknown year in the 2000's.

Hi Thomas,

Thank you so much for the kind words. We are so pleased that you loved the teas! Part of our brand is trying to source teas that are good enough for the connoisseur's while still being very approachable for beginners. This is why we include a 'basic' tea steeping guide physically, while of course having more specific steeping guides on the site.

We look forward to continuing to follow your personal tea adventures on your blog.

The 2009 Jingmai sheng brick was pretty good, but the Auburn black was delicious!
