@Ernesto Martin if your pot is new and it has never been used, and if it’s washable, just rinse it. New pots often have white dust like particles (silica sand) that used to separate the lid and the pot when it’s being fired. Those particles are very commonly left behind in new pots. If you can’t rinse it, then it’s something else...Ernesto Martin wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:15 amThis is a jiang po ni teapot from Yonchen studio.

Seasoning my late 70s hqsn in about 20 grams of unspent heavy roast 2019 dong ding from hy chen via leafy green. About 8 grams in the pot and the rest outside.
Had 2 sessions first with 1$/gram yancha. The pot is quite thirsty so am accelerating it with this dong ding. The roast is aggressive but relatively clean and straight forward, reminding me of da hong pao. Am planning to use this pot only for yancha hahahaha

After a day, the seasoning liquid tastes surprisingly good - rich toffee notes hahahaha. Drank two full pints of this. Second glass tasted a bit like the clay. Threw in two more balls of dong ding and filled the vessel with boiling water for overnight.LeoFox wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:55 amSeasoning my late 70s hqsn in about 20 grams of unspent heavy roast 2019 dong ding from hy chen via leafy green.
