Nice pot steanze. Is it common to have a big flat knob like that in Late Qing and ROC zhuni teapots?

Not necessarily, there are pots that have it and pots that don't. I quite like this feature, because this shape can be thought of a flat version of a taller similar shape that was also made in Qing. So like this it looks like every part of that other shape got flattened

Nice patina on my 60s shuiping. Probably 2-3 years of use.

I used a yixing teapot for the first time. I received mine bronze grade zini from chanting pines. I have one coming from Bok pretty soon.
The teapot is 120ml so I put 5 grams of leaf in and the pour speed using tea was 9-10 seconds. There was no scalding myself and the
whole experience was very enjoyable. I haven't dedicated any space for my tea sessions just yet but here's a pic

I stalked his instagram page for a while and asked if he could find me a F1 green label xi shi teapot.
He was on the lookout for one for a while but found one for me. Ju Lun Zhu and Xi Shi pots are my
favorite shapes, as well as their openings are wide enough so I'm not fighting the teapot to put leaves in.

Thanks, I like uniformity so now that I'll own a couple of pots I'll need some clay cups and pitcher. Damn this OCD

I have a modern Xi Shi pot and after using it you don't have to shower anymore. It seems to me that this is because of the short spout on this shape. Don't you have this problem with your pot?

The spout on the xishi i have coming has a longer spout that the xishi I've seen that basically just have a open hole for a spout.
