HY Chen since famous?
What tea do he sell
He sells Dongding style oolong. He himself is not really famous, just one of the few Western accessible teas in that quality.
His grandfather was famous in Taiwan for his Dongding, still some of the most sought after aged Oolongs in the whole country. According to some, his grandson is not up to his level yet
he sells dongding from his farm and also other kinds of TW tea from other places.
i think most of us know about him due to @KyaraZen's introduction.

note that he has an arrangement to sell via https://leafygreentea.com/ to the west (or maybe just the US)

Only Singapore Malaysia and hongkong have black Friday sale which I doubt Taiwan people know it.
Hi I can assure you lazy cat tea will have no sales : )twt_reddit wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 1:06 pmDo they usually have one?
I'm getting my budget ready..
mod edit: this topic was initially asking about HY Chen, Lazy Cat Tea, and Tea Habitat specifically

FWIW, Yunomi has already posted what appear to be their "black friday" specials. Not spectacular, but worth a look.
Teavivre did black friday last year. They're currently running a pre-black friday sale, which appears pretty underwhelming.
Yunnan sourcing is currently (not really BF, but worth mentioning) offering 15% off all puerh.

Tea Encounter just joined the fray with up to 20% till the end of Nov, those should be decent candidates for ageing..

their ZSL cakes are pretty much budget "old tree" puer from the broader Yiwu area.DailyTX wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 2:28 pmI never had tea from Tea Encounter. for the price they are mostly ok, which for me means they are candidates for aging (Yiwu is considered to age well).
those prices might give you the impression you can maybe find "finds", but I didn't manage that..
but they are mostly priced accordingly to market standards, at least from what I could tell..
their semi aged Nannuo are very cute, but short lived
I haven't had the chance to try their new house brand puers..
