More generally speaking, it would be interesting to know about tea and teaware vendors that have Black Friday sales and would be recommended sources irrespective of those sales.

And Taiwan/Yunnan Sourcing an early bird sale till midnight today (I think..)

TeaHabitat has occasional sales on her website. I’ve not seen any sales offered by HY Chen or LazyCat. @twt_reddit maybe we can rename this topic to Black Friday sales by Vendor or sim. to include other vendors as well.

Black Friday is an US thing, explains why HY Chen and lazy cat do not have one...

I doubt many people in Taiwan are even aware there is such a thing, haha calling it Black Friday alone is probably enough to make it unpopular due to superstitions...

Fair enough... But are there relatively predictable deals good vendors have, at other moments during the year, that a patient buyer could take into consideration?

HY Chen never has any deals or reductions, yield is probably too small to make that a viable option. It’s sold out anyways in a couple of months. Maybe their representatives in the US will do that, but margins are probably too small and the teas of Chen too popular.

I’ve never really heard of any tea seller (selling good quality tea) in Taiwan who has offered deals in their teas. Usually those are the cheap ones or the ones in the shopping malls, not the premium offers. Same here, demand is higher than the yield, so the incentive is zero.

If you’re into HK style teas, tea life HK is predictably offering reductions from time to time. Yet with the current situation that might have changed...

One can always hope a kind soul will sell below the price the market will bear... but one tends to be disappointed.

Are there sellers of quality teaware that have sales once in a while?

I think the best deals you’ll likely get from the tea swaps around here.

Tea ware sale seems to be more rare.
I think Klasektea in the Czech Republic has a section with reduced pieces that were used a tiny bit in their shop for testing.

Amongst US and US-based companies that I know of only Yunnan Sourcing did Black Friday deals, but they decided to stop - too much stress for them and their employees. They're doing a variety of smaller "early bird" sales though.
If you're looking for sales in general, Seven Cups have something on sale nearly every week. Just subscribe to their newsletter and you'll get the news.
Farmer Leaf, Thetea.pl, and pu-erh.sk all have items on sale from time to time. They usualy announce them a couple of days beforehand.

Thanks for the replies!

I'm definitely waiting to see what kind of sale farmerleaf are doing this year..
