Beautiful futaoki! Usually they are either ugly or silly. This is sophisticated and beautiful.

« Genuine » is difficult to use for a style like Hagi. Hagi is a denomination for a style in Japanese ceramics but at first it was used for pieces made in Hagi town (which show some similar characteristics). I would say that this piece looks like a Hagi style piece even if it could be made in other parts of Japan or even in another country.
Do you have any information about where it is from (location, artist, period)?
