i agree. i changed it to dark green, but i've discovered a bug where the autocomplete doesn't go away when you quote a mention. it's described here:
https://github.com/paul999/mention/issues/40
it's a bug in a library that the extension uses, and the extension author doesn't want to try fixing it. he's waiting for a fix from the library's author.
i think it's a pretty annoying bug, and i may disable the extension until there's a solution.

@Shine Magical ok, the 'mention' extension is back. i was playing around with it and managed a pretty ugly workaround for that bug.
basically i just made it so that when a mention gets quoted, the at sign gets stripped. this prevents the buggy autocomplete popup from triggering.

since the 'view active topics' page is often extensively used by experienced phpBB users, we decided to move it directly into the navigation (as 'activity').
no longer necessary to go looking for it in the 'quick links' menu.

To engage the broader online tea community, we want to try Instagram.
We're thinking of occasionally posting member-contributed images (with attribution) and organization-related announcements.
Would anyone be opposed to having their photos occasionally reposted to our official IG account, @teaforum, possibly with cropping if necessary? We value your feedback.

I don't have a lot of photos on here, but I think with proper credit given, and if the user is ok with it, thatd be a great idea as theres some really beautiful tea pictures posted on here.Victoria wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 2:19 pmTo engage the broader online tea community, we want to try Instagram.

The quality of my photos is far from being professional, but feel free to use them. No problems at all.Victoria wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 2:19 pmTo engage the broader online tea community, we want to try Instagram.

thanks!
a note on the mention feature:
if you @mention someone, a notification is only sent to that person on the initial posting.
if you edit your post later and add mention(s), additional notifications are not generated because the system does not keep track of whether mentions are 'new' or not. this is to prevent existing mentions in the post from generating notifications every time an edit is made.

I have to ask, what does the "add foe" button do?
friend/foe is not a very useful feature imo:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/ug/userguide/ucp_friends_foes/ wrote:Users can be marked as a Friend or a Foe in order to allow for filtering of their messages. If a style supports it, posts made by users on your Foe list will be hidden from view and posts from users on your Friend list will be highlighted. Private Message rules can make use of the Friend and Foes list for filtering incoming PMs.
