Troubleshooting: Site Issues & Bug Reports
I’ve also been having the same issue for the last few weeks.
Apologies, we are aware of the issues and are working on a solution.

Have these problems been resolved and are resurfacing again or have they been ongoing until now? I get "502 Bad Gateway" sooner or later almost every time I try to use the forum. It's very frustrating.
These problems have been ongoing for over a year now. Sometimes it takes me five or six tries to access the forum, plus another few tries to access posts or send messages or post replies. I have a feeling this is driving long-time users away from the forum and preventing new users from signing up. It's very frustrating. Is there some way we can raise funds to hire someone to fix this problem for good—maybe a group effort to save this site? I don't know of anywhere else that discusses tea and teaware in such depth.teatotalista wrote: ↑Mon Feb 23, 2026 2:12 pmHave these problems been resolved and are resurfacing again or have they been ongoing until now? I agree with the comments below, plus what AET wrote previously as well (I tried to agree a few times last night, but couldn't, because I kept getting error messages...).
The errors have definitely reduced my participation quite a lot, and I can only assume that it puts off new people even more than people who've been here for a while and tolerate the errors.
I'd be happy to make a little contribution as well, if it would help. I don't know anything about IT issues, so I don't know what the solution might be or what it'd involve, or whether it can even be solved quickly (ie, whether it's a time issue, a money issue, or something more complex), but I've gained a lot from this site over a considerable period of time, and wouldn't want it to fall into disuse. I'm happy to contribute, to keep the site free and running.

sincere apologies. i still don't have time to finish v2 yet, but re: the instability, i'm on it. will update in a day or two. <3
Thanks, and don't worry, no need for apologies - I'm sure that we're all grateful to have a non-commercial, unpaid, ad-free forum, and realistically we have to accept that that comes with some things taking time, but if it's a significant issue that we can assist with, then I'm sure there are some people who would be happy to help out.
Andrew
