It’s the first picture of the inside shots! The hole doesn’t go all the inside. Just an anchor point from the outside to fixate the metal bones.

This looks awesome, well done! Really, really cool to see all the steps. Love the cotton wrapping, I imagine it feels nice in the hand. Thanks for sharing!
Well done, and thanks for sharing the process!
The bright color of the cotton wrapping is quite the contrast to the pot, I would have thought you would go with something dyed to a darker color. But it definitely gives the pot a unique look. Will be interesting to see how it turns out after years of use.
The pot itself is a real beauty with lots of personality. I too think it was a great idea to not do anything to the lid.

Thanks! I think it might be the lighting, it is less bright in real life.Balthazar wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 11:31 amWell done, and thanks for sharing the process!

Beautiful work--an amazing resurrection for a lovely pot. Kudos to you--I definitely wouldn't blame you if you decided not to let it go!
So, I have really decided to not let go of this pot after all, sorry for the excitement! Grew to like it too much myself and a friend reminded me that this is rather rare and not easy to find, so repair or not it would have probably required a too-high-price anyways... so in my cabinet it stays.

Was looking forwards to this pot, but am happy for you that you’ve grown to love it so much. Great work, and thank you for showing the process!Bok wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 8:37 amSo, I have really decided to not let go of this pot after all, sorry for the excitement!
