It occurred to me as I was preparing this post, I began my tea journey 20 years ago this year ... and have never sold a personally owned kyusu (despite selling 100s of teaware items via TC SOs). But today will be posting 5 Kobiwako clay kyusu for sale, exactly half of the 10 I have purchased. Yeah, that is too many to keep.
So, I have 2 groups of HOJO Kobiwako clay kyusu made by Maekawa Junzo. Kobiwako clay in my experience brews sencha reallllly incredibly well. Other members have shared their experiences with other types of tea under the Japanese Teaware forum.

This first group is first generation Kobiwako clay kyusu purchased years ago from HOJO but never used. I purchased all three pictured at the same time.
The kyusu on the left has a noticable lean to it (see photos). It has a ball style filter/screen. It is otherwise perfect. Holds 160-170 ml.
SOLD! The kyusu in the middle has a chipped handle as pictured, no cracks. I have diamond sharpeners and for years have wanted to make a project of this one and grind it down ... in which case I would not sell it. It has a sasame filter/screen. Holds 170-180 ml.
The one on the far right is NOT for sale, I have used this one 100s of times.
I have had the two that are for sale sitting on a shelf since I purchased them (I just always used the one on the right). I figured someone might want to purchase an unused 1st generation kobiwako clay kyusu ... less than perfect ... but on the cheap. They currently sell on the HOJO site for 12800-13800 Japenese Yen. 1st generation were more pricey.
They came in cardboard boxes ... pretty sure I still have them. HOJO focuses on the clay and function vs the fancy wood box. Just sayin ...
50 USD plus 10 for shipping anywhere in the USA, each ... will refund any overpayment for shipping! Payment via PayPal in USD.
