Neiziwaihong, yes, you read that right - a fine example of a late Qing, early Republican Zisha clay, coated with a fine layer of Hongni. This technique, although most famous during green label, has actually been used since the Qing dynasty.

The workmanship on this pot is quite good, look at the curves of the spout! As all NZWH or NWLJ, this pot will develop a nice patina much faster than a full Hong- or Zini. It bears a 萬寶(Wan Bao), according to my research, this seal is either a generic seal like Meng Chen, or refers to one specific workshop. Pots with this seal do often have slightly more unusual and similar designs, so I am inclined to think it was likely only used by one workshop.

I have done some Gintsugi(silver) repair at the lid knob, as well as covering up a tiny tool scratch at the spout. Otherwise in perfect condition, tear and wear as appropriate for the period.

This teapot is to the best of knowledge from the late Qing/early ROC era. In addition, I have cross-checked this item with the sources at my disposal. If you consider purchasing, I suppose that have done the same and know what you are doing. As always, do not buy what you don't understand.

See images for further details, or request more if you need to see a particular part of it!

Here the pot is with his cousin from another mother :)

Same source, same workshop, same clays. But a more quirky design (not for sale!).
