Hi all. Looking to let go of some teaware that I dont reach for so much, and hoping to find these lovely pieces some new homes. All prices are shipped in the US. Please inquire for international shipping. All pieces are lightly used but in perfect condition. Will give more details on each piece in their respective posts.
Also, buy 1 or more pieces and I will throw in either a soda fired gong fu tea cup that I made at my local studio , or some unopened 2023 harvest sencha from thes du japon (pictures below).
First piece...
Taisuke Shiraiwa 160ml reduction fired teapot bought from Thes du Japon. Used maybe 5 times for sencha. Hardly drinking Japanese greens these days and have not been using it much because of that. Its a beautiful little pot with a great pour. Comes with original tomobako. $140

Second piece is a Kizuya Ishida small teacup. It is a mix of porcelain and some other type of bizen clay. A lot of the clay Ishida mines himself, and he does a lot of experimentation with different clay bodies which i find to be really cool. Unglazed inside and out, and I believe was fired upwards of 8 days in an anagama kiln if my memory serves me. 2.25in (l) x 2.5in (w) x 1.75in (h), about 50ml to the top. $50

Third piece is a tea server by American potter Jonathan Steele, who specializes in gong fu teaware. This is probably the piece that I am selling that I have used the most. However, I lately have been gravitating toward a glass tea server, and I have been using this less and less. Some beautiful surface marks on this Anagama fired piece. 3in (l) x 3in (w) x 2.5in (h), about 175mL to the top. $60

Last, a more contemporary piece by American potter Taylor Sijan. I really love the surface decoration on this, but the shape of it really does not suit me and because of that, I hardly use it. But if you are into taller, thicker walled yunomi, this might be for you! Not too sure on firing details on this one. 2.75in (l) x 2.75in (w) x 3.75in (h), about 225mL to the top. $60

Here are some gong fu tea cups that I made. As I said in my first post, buy 1 or more of the pots listed, and I will throw in one of these soda fired cups for free (there are 3 total, see pictures below) if interested or a 20g bag of 2023 sencha from Thes du Japon.

If it's still available, I'm also interested. Also like the Sijan and the third soda-fired cup that you made.
I'm also in Chicago if you want to swap in person.
