FS: Junzo Shudei Kyusu + FREE TEA, CUP & SHIP

Like I said, this one arrived just a few days back. I am letting go as a bit too big for my personal taste. Brand new, never used. 270ml.

Again, as certain vendors said clay was stored at company for over 40 years and others say this was extracted from Tokoname rice fields more than 50 years ago, I had Asako check with Maekawa Junzo directly. He confirmed this particular pot is 50-year-old rice field clay.

As I only buy direct hole or ball filter, three teapots were presented to me. First pot was red clay recently dug up in front of his workshop. Interestingly, the more recent stuff appears to go for more. Of the two older clay pots, the smaller pot had slight crack on lid knob, so the reason I opted for this at larger size.

I did run water through, it pours very rapidly, likely due to spout shape and bulbous filter. I timed twice today, at full capacity it emptied in ~16sec.

Price paid was 22,000 JPY or almost $150, plus $27 ship.

Asking $100 total that includes FREE shipping, two bags of tea, and a cup.

FYI, for Japanese kyusu I often brew only halfway full. Something to maybe take into consideration.
