This Green Label Factory 1 tea set is quite a collectible item and a piece of history that will not be repeated. While the 80's version of this pot seems to be relatively common, the green label is much more rare. Made out of a fine QingShuiNi, it has a very soft feeling to it. The craftsmanship on the teapot is very precise, above of what one usually expects from this period (my guess is that it was the more skillful craftsmen that were making these more complicated pots).
Period: 1978-83
Material: green label QingShuiNi
Volume of the pot: roughly 560ml
Condition: Absolutely perfect, essentially like new, with the exception of a chip on the rim of one of the teacup (as can be seen on some of the photos). Please note that the standard set as offered during the period consists of 4 cups only, meaning that one may still break another one without loosing the integrity of the set.
It seems that the pot has been used only maybe once or twice, 2 of the cups still have the original sticker on.
Remarks: 2 cups have a seal on the base (see photo), the other 4 unmarked. There is a slight variation of the texture of the clay over the pieces, related to the clay used and to the method of fabrication, as common during the period. In particular the bottom of the tray has visible imperfections (see photo).
Price: 350USD
