I can't quite remember how I first discovered Tony's teawares--was it a topic on a tea forum where someone posted a photo, or one of those 'you might also enjoy' teasers from Etsy--but I've been following his wares on Etsy for a long time, but my first purchases from him arrived only a month or two ago, after a sale I couldn't resist.

I haven't yet done justice to this incredible Copper Red Ash bowl, a generously sized chawan, with capacity that makes it attractive for other uses as well.

The blues contrasting with the red base, and intertwining threads of purples are bright and cheerful.

It looks great with matcha

I'll be storing images of his wares here on my Flickr going forward.

Tony had another sale on his Etsy, and a beautiful cup followed me home. Its journey was not uneventful, but Tony quickly acted to make sure everything turned out right. That just added to the anticipation, but this beautiful cup is even more beautiful with tea than I had hoped. I broke it in with some Taiwanese high mountain, oolong grandpa style, with one infusion last night, and another infusion this morning.

i love how he has 360° videos of all of his pieces. imagine if all teaware web shops did that.
on the other hand, i wish he had volumes and weights listed, but i guess it's not so had to ask him for that info on a piece.

Videos are something that apparently Etsy is encouraging. I have seen videos from multiple shops, and not even just ceramics. It is lovely to see a piece from all angles.

The piece shared by pedant is particularly beautiful on the inside… I’m very dramatic and sculptural on the outside.

I will attempt to get better photos of this one, to do it justice, on the weekend.
