I was wondering what places you guys would recommend to visit while in Japan. I was also curious about the best places to stay.

Japan is a very big place… recs will work better if we at least know the general area you plan to visit…

Ah ok- We are planning on spending a few days in Tokyo then taking a train over to Kyoto.
