Thanks Leo, very helpful.

I'm still undecided so I'll give it some more time. What do you think of Sado Mumyoi Joaka Clay Teapot by Watanabe Tozo?
That's the gold. My favorite

i ordered this one finally. It says its from Sado, see signature. Wondering if it's an authentic one. " This set comes in the original box (last photo). The writing in black says, "Sado Mumyoi pottery" (last photo, bottom). The red stamp on top right also says Sado Mymyoi. The potter's seal in red at bottom left says, "Yoshito"."

What makes you doubt? Don’t think Hojo is untrustworthy…

Not.from hojo that's why. Its from etsy. If it was from hojo I would not doubt. There was only 2 pots from sado with hojo, not my favorite for the shape so I decided to wait on that.

I don't see a picture of the box. Also yoshito is 芳人 I think. That sign on the bottom says something else I think

Ah… colour seems a bit darker and redder than what I’d expect, but I’ll let the Sado Islanders determine that @OCTO ?

Okay so I see now it is 吉陶, which is also yoshito you were right - sorry. I think it can also be kichito?

And the box does say mumyoi.

No idea who yoshito / kichito is but I see some of his tea bowls on various auction sites. Could also be a kiln name. Let us know how you like it

As you realize from hojo, there are plenty of different clays on sado island with different properties. This pot is probably going to act differently from the tozo pots that hojo sells

Thanks so much for your input! Helps a lot.
I'll update after I receive it. Preparing an order from hojo soon, so I might end up adding a teapot anyway.

Just realized the upper right seal outline shape looks a little like the shape of .sado island where mumyoi is from.

So I just received my teapot today. I'm noticing too much shine on the outside. I always thought that glazed on the outside meant artificially added iron, no?
I hope I did not waste 150 euro...
Attached the pictures. The side by side also with a teapot by murata yoshiki to just see the glaze difference.

The clay is burnished, not glazed. Burnishing takes additional time by rubbing the clay with a hard object, compressing the clay.
