So I received these teas from a co-worker today...
I believe the packages are both rolled oolongs, and the loose one is some sort of white tea, but would love some help identifying them
They are probably stale at this point, but is anyone familiar with these teas?
She had basically no information on them besides that she's had them for several years at this point Help identifying a few teas from a co-worker
At first glance it looks like silver needle that has oxidized. Unfortunately I'm far from being an expert and can't understand the language printed on the packaging so that's my best guess. You can always try doing a quick steep if you feel adventurous.

It's dry leaf. The appearance confused me. It's like silver needle, but each bud seems to be tightly wrapped in the first leaf.
I had hesitated in trying them since I had no clue about their origin or even age. I guess I'll give them a few steeps and post the results xD

Those leaves look like White lotus or old longjing kinda...
Could it be some pure bud black tea like this one:Griselbrand wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:00 pmIt's dry leaf. The appearance confused me. It's like silver needle, but each bud seems to be tightly wrapped in the first leaf.

Here are the brewed leaves from the loose tea:
And the tea liquor:
The tea liquor is a rose color and the wet leaf smell reminds me of aged white tea. There is another aroma on top which is... not good, almost as if the tea has gone rancid - Griselbrand

The tea liquor is not so dark. I think it may be some sort of badly aged white teaLeoFox wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:38 pmCould it be some pure bud black tea like this one:Griselbrand wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:00 pmIt's dry leaf. I still reckon it's a badly stored Longjing...
Seems to me the dry leaves are not as flat as Long Jing usually is. Seems to me they are shaped more like Zhu Ye Qing, a green tea I am truly not very knowledgeable about, but I have purchased once or twice.
