Teaware You Think We Need:
How do you guys heat your water for your tea?
@Balthazar Most of my friends and family aren't into to tea so they have in their mind that I am walking around the house with a monocle and a smoking jacket sipping tea. Hmm.. do I need a monocle?

The only items I use regularly are the tweezers and mini spatula. When needed, I will use the scoop. These days I only have to replace the tweezers and mini spatula.
Cheers!!

Electric kettle, fast and furious... Hate waiting for water...
Watched this French tea master guy on YouTube and seriously, I lost it big time... Laughed till I cried and then cried some more

Really nice. It is sad that no pieces like this are more common in the west. I own one of Sedlak's scoop, it was an impulse buy because he's quite busy guy and no items I liked were in stock. I rarely use it. It just doesn't feel right, it doesn't look right with my other tea items. So now I always dream about another scoop but don't feel like going into 200$ purchase again.
On the other hand recently I bought a tea boat from Mirka which I love more than I thought I would. As a gift she sent me a tea needle by Jan Serak which I like even more.

Sedlak's wood works are really nice, but for that money you may just carve one yourself. All you need is a piece of wood and a gouge (round chisel): the easiest is if you use green (fresh) wood and rough it out while it is still soft, then wait a couple of weeks/months for it dry and finish with a sandpaper and a bit of linseed oil. Just saying, lol Personally, i find teascoops superfluous (i just use a cup or something). The only utensils i use aside of teapots, cups/bowls, kettle and a teaboat (just a shallow bowl), is a bamboo pick to unclog spouts, a puerh pick, and a piece of cloth.
Yeah, I am playing with this idea for a while now. Would love to play around with wood and make something out of it..m. wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 12:49 pmSedlak's wood works are really nice, but for that money you may just carve one yourself. I found working with wood incredibly relaxing, even if i end fucking up and scrapping the whole thing.lUKAV28 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 12:52 pmYeah, I am playing with this idea for a while now. I think we need all of the teaware that @OCTO owns...
I have become jealous of his teaware, and now I will create a lynch mob to take it from him. I will leave him with our shoddy teaware because I'm a fair man
