Well done on the taxonomy @Bok some humor and truth :)

I'm currently a mix of the Control Freak and The Specialist. I tend to stick to measured tea/water ratios. I have a list of how many usable ml of water each of my brewing vessels can hold. When I first started drinking puer I bought tons of samples and in an attempt to find what I liked. I tried to keep as many constants as possible, except for the tea. I think measuring just became a habit. I know it's overkill but sometimes I go "grampa style" or leave the gram scale at home when I travel.

I also tend to mainly stick to a single family of tea and dabble a little here and there. I was a puer drinker for three years and I've now have gravitated to matcha.

The main reason I drink tea is for the energy it imparts and how it makes me feel. Taste is secondary, but a close second.
