How much will you spend on tea this year?

And that's just tea exclusively just for your own use too?
Makes me feel like I should start drinking more than I do. Maybe I'll relax a little and start using larger cups now

Mostly for me, got some more budget teas not included, for office and large gatherings consumption. The good stuff would be wasted for groups larger than 4

Also it depends on the tea I guess. If I would drink Puerh, I would probably need a lot less grams in total – but maybe still the same or more amount of money if I wanted to drink similar quality...

Last year my tea budget reached 400$; that is almost entirely made up from yunnan sourcing orders once in about two months.

This year it seems my annual budget will reach around 800$, which makes me think that I'll need to limit the variety of my tea drinking to one type per season, for example: oolong in the spring, green in summer, black in autumn and pu-erh in winter.

Oh well, after all, looking back I realize that I absolutely don't regret any money spent on tea

Around $800. Not including teaware. I plan to get another hagi this year, so more for that. I’m starting my tea year in the spring, cause to me it makes the most sense to start with the spring tea harvest. I’ve actually been working on an actual budget this year cause I’m trying to save up for something else. I’ll probably end up buying more than that, this is what I like to think of as my “minimum required for survival”

I would say 1.5 k +-. I sell/give teas to some ppl around me so some amount comes back. Also this year I still did not buy any teapot . But got my most expensive cup )))
