Tea taste profiling and machine testing / "tasting"

I wrote about a tea expo / convention in Singapore recently that used a tea taste profiling system to make suggestions, and this broader subject connects to that.
It also relates to a lot of research I did last year on tea quality testing that never condensed to a clear enough summary to write about. Since this other subject touched on a similar theme I combined them. A tea group at a school that I went to Penn State, actually did development work on the first part, flavor profiling, just long after I graduated, with what that work has now extended to covered here.
