TWG Brand in the news for pesticides

The Mariages Freres rip-off brand TWG has been in the news in Taiwan, seems like some of their teas have tested positive for high levels of pesticides, unsafe for human consumption...

I will never understand how brands like this can make it in a country like Taiwan with amazing tea, selling their frankly quite terrible and expensive tea.

For those who don’t know, the founder is an ex-employee of MF and launched a brand which looks almost identical from a distance in their design style and also in their offerings. They even put 1837 in their logo even when they were founded in 2008. I mean, that says it all...

Lol, i've just googled them. Can't decide between a "Napoleon tea" and a "Tea party tea"... but who cares as long as it is a grand cru prestige tea served in a haute couture golden caviar tin. :D

I can't say I'm surprised. They market a tea that is covered in actual gold :lol:

They don't even sell "a" tea covered in gold. They sell *several*.
