Finally, the survey gives insights into another great debate centered around tea habits: Which is the favorite tea brand in Britian? The data shows there is a tough rivalry between two brands: Yorkshire favorited by 26.2 percent and PG Tips by 26.1 percent.

Apparently the knack for product placement goes way back -- spotted them in a 1983 episode of the game show 3-2-1 as part of a consolation prize Teasmade set for the losers. This would have been back when they were still known as "Prospect Foods Ltd.", I think, and were largely invisible outside of their local area. I imagine this made it a big advertising win for them even though they were not directly mentioned at any time.
