The Mariages Freres rip-off brand TWG has been in the news in Taiwan, seems like some of their teas have tested positive for high levels of pesticides, unsafe for human consumption...
I will never understand how brands like this can make it in a country like Taiwan with amazing tea, selling their frankly quite terrible and expensive tea.
For those who don’t know, the founder is an ex-employee of MF and launched a brand which looks almost identical from a distance in their design style and also in their offerings. They even put 1837 in their logo even when they were founded in 2008. I mean, that says it all...
