Could you elaborate on what effects a lower firing temperature would have on tea?
Lower firing temperature leads to less sintering and therefore a slightly more porous/muting teapot. The effect is small: both versions of this pot are on the lower-muting end for Yixing.

Hi!

We are excited to announce the release of several new teas. We are now offering full cakes of the 2012 Dragon Tea House Yiwu, which some of you asked about after trying the quarter cake sets. We are also offering the 2006 version of this cake.

We are very happy to release a limited quantity of the 2003 Chen Yuan Hao Tong Qing Hao, an excellent early production from CYH.

You probably remember the 2001 red ribbon with traditional storage we offered in the past - we were able to secure some of that tea with natural Malaysian storage.

We are aware that some of you would like the option to try our offerings in smaller quantities before committing to a full cake: we were able to organize the logistics to offer individual quarter cakes of the 2021 Longdui cakes, the 2006 Double Lion, the 2004 Nanqiao Bada Nannuo Blend, and the 2004 Banpo Laozhai. We might add more single quarter offerings in the future.

We hope you enjoy the teas,

TWL

Hi! We have added several new teas to the site. We are now able to offer a limited amount of older Bi Yun Hao productions - we have decided to offer these as quarter cakes to give more people the opportunity to try them:

We also added a 2011 Chen Yuan Hao Jincha (300g) with very good base material: https://teaswelike.com/product/2011-che ... ai-jincha/

In addition, we restocked the following teas:
2005 Double Lion: https://teaswelike.com/product/2005-bulang-double-lion/
2003 Chen Yuan Hao Tong Qing Hao: https://teaswelike.com/product/2003-che ... tive-cake/

We are excited to announce a new release!

Along with the full cakes of 2008 Dragon Tea House Yiwu, and with the affordable 2004 Xiaguan teji tuos stored in Malaysia, we want in particular to mention the TWL Introductory Quarter Cake Set: a set including quarter cakes of classic puerh productions: 2005 Xiaguan T8653 (january batch), 2008 Dayi 8582 (batch 801), 2008 Dayi 7532 (batch 801) and 2010 Dayi 7542 (batch 001). The set comes with a tour of guided experiences designed to approach puer tea. The set and guided experiences can be found here: https://teaswelike.com/product/intro-to-pu-qc-set/

We hope you enjoy the new offerings, and wish you a happy Chinese New Year.

Hi!

We are excited to announce a new release with new teas and teaware as well as restocks of some popular items.

First, we have on offer a new tasting set of powerful bulang area teas from the early 2000s (https://teaswelike.com/product/early-20 ... sting-set/). These teas are among our favorites.

In addition, we were able to source the 2007 Manzhuan from Bi Yun Hao (https://teaswelike.com/product/2007-biyun-hao-manzhuan/), the sequel of the well known 2004-2006 Manzhuans.

On the teaware front, we are bringing you a lv ni Yixing teapot, in the Ju Lun Zhu shape (https://teaswelike.com/product/twl-lvni-ju-lun-zhu/), at an accessible price. As usual for our modern Yixing offerings, the teapot comes with an EDXRF certificate of the clay composition.

We are also restocking our custom designed hongni flat shuiping, and the thin porcelain tulip cup.

Last but not least, we are restocking two of our popular offerings: the 12 cents brick, and the 2015 Lishan Gongcha.

We hope you enjoy the teas and wares!
