Something nice coming… Antique Duanni Julunzhu. Plain and simple without any inscriptions. Pictures when light allows.

Interested in Hongni and also Julunzhu. I'm a new member, so I can't write you a PM.

+1 @Balthazar said. Not sure how well it functions, it’s a good conversation piece. It probably looks well in a display case :o

It would be a shame to put away such a nice pot in a display! I got a very similar shape in Qinghuini in my collection (posted it a while back in the Yixing thread), that one worked pretty well for Hongcha.

The tall shape is less of a concern due to the overall small size. Rolled leaf or loose all did not get stuck, at least in my experience. What is practical is the large opening to load and unload leaves. I'd imagine it also being a good match for Puerh, also in combination with this Zini.

I got the almost same Zini/Duanni specks combo in another pot, which is one of my favourites for Taiwanese roasted Oolongs like Dongding, Tieguanyin, etc.

Used at less than full capacity, it is also a good candidate for Japanese teas. With a slow pour and careful tilting, it can make a multi-hole filter unnecessary. I have tried this method with some success in the past with other Yixing pots brewing Gyokuru and Sencha.

+1 on the sencha/gyokuro suggestion. If I remember correctly julunzu shaped pots were actually meant for export to japan. Size would be perfect for gyokuro, though I can't comment on clay pairing because I don't have a zini nor do I drink japanese greens.

Hi Bok! I can't message you (probably because I'm a new member?), but I was wondering if you could shoot me message. You mentioned earlier in your thread that you would be wiling to source pots from Qing/ROC for people. Could we possibly discuss this?

Thank you; I really enjoy your posts in the yixing threads, super informative.
