@LeoFox, I use the last song on the album "Tea for the Tillerman" as my ring tone. Oh well, we all have our eccentricities.

Laoshi is an old man and I do not recall seeing any of his 'employees' to be below 60 either, so understandably those guys do and should stay home for now... being based in Taipei, I guess he can not make the way to the tea farms, which are still operating normally as there are no cases there - yet.

That said, the situation is still laughably small, compared to the rest of the world. Daily cases dropping to around 50 a day. More scary I do find foot ball stadiums full of screaming fans, all without masks... sigh.

@Bok, Laoshi is a year younger than I am - when not talking tea (rare) I am 哥. When we are talking tea, it's not even close.

I can imagine that... Many times the conversation around a tea table are as interesting and educational as the tea sampling is!

I have been back to shops recently, but the way tea is usually sold in Taiwan, with extensive sampling before committing, makes pandemic safety a bit tricky. Although the situation has eased in severity a lot of of shops still are very cautious and reluctant to let people in who they are not familiar with.

Just for clarification, the password doesn't have the comma. It is:

"Ring-a ling-a Dong Ding"

Also, people should take advantage of this deal. Tillerman rarely offers discounts.

You're absolutely correct @LeoFox, there is no comma in the coupon code (my error - I don't do this often). You are also correct in that Tillerman rarely offers discounts; we work on margins that are very low by industry standards so we don't have a lot of room. This sale is intended as a thank you to all of our loyal customers - a chance for you to get some great tea at some great prices.

Saw this before I went to bed yesterday, thought it was about time I tried some of that Laoshi DD and sat down to do so this morning. You snooze, you lose :D

(I had a hunch they might go fast though, 20% is a big discount!)

Winter 21 or spring 22 it is then

I also noticed that all of Tillerman's Laoshi Dong Ding disappeared between early last evening and early this morning. Too bad I didn't act sooner!

I've had his "Sweet Scented" Dong Ding and it's nice and comforting, but I wanted to try that Laoshi DD.

Such is the clout Tillerman has with his Laoshi, that I literally can not get this tea cheaper - in Taiwan… which means for all you out there that this tea is probably at least half as cheap as comparable quality from other Western facing vendors.

That’s quite some sourcing skill - or sorcery, more like it.
