Visit our website: www.pastleaf.com

We are a new vendor, starting in Spring 2025. We accompany our products with videos and blogs so customers can learn more about where these products come from.

Pastleaf is a small, independent tea shop based in Guangdong, China, an ideal location to store and ship tea.

Our Chinese name is“昔归” (xīguī): the past returns. We hope our collections will help you discover great tea and teaware, and learn about the traditional culture they come from.

We focus on two things: curation and culture.

Curation
We are highly selective about the teas and teaware we offer. Living in China gives us access to a wide range of products, but we only sell what we personally use and believe in. We spend a lot of time testing teas and comparing teaware, looking for items that balance functionality with craft. We also look for products that reflect real tea habits from different parts of China, including vintage products from different time periods. Everything in our shop is chosen with care and context.

Culture
Tea culture in China is diverse. What people drink, and how they drink it, varies from place to place. We build our collections to reflect these regional identities—with curated teas, matching teaware, and original videos, blogs, and documentaries that bring each culture to life.

We have released a wide range of teaware that we've sourced from private collections over the years. Take a look here: https://pastleaf.com/collections/vintage-teaware

Interesting. Parts of your "private collection imitation" teaware for 120 USD can be had, I suppose from that same "private collector", for 3 USD, enough to do one image search.

The imitation crackle celadon you mentioned was there yesterday before you posted this comment, and now it's gone. This doesn't make me feel confident.

The imitation celadon is no longer there because it has been sold. As stated on the website I update that page when I get time to do so. It was labelled an imitation because virtually all contemporary celadon is necessarily an imitation of earlier historical designs and and the original techniques have been lost/dramatically changed.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

New 2025 wild red tea available. This is an interesting tea, also from Wuliang Shan like our puerh tea this year. Picked from wild trees and sun-dried. It rewards patient brewing because the emphasis is on the aftertaste over many steeps.
