List of available teas (posted on bottom of page 8) has been updated. Please note that both the High Mountain Organic Roasted Oolong has only one packet available. Also, I have been drinking the new teas since mid-November & they are wonderful. Added an organic white tea from Nepal.

White tea from Nepal:
My list of teas for sale on the bottom of page 8 has a new addition: Himaylayan Snow, an organic white tea from Nepal. I think I have not had this tea for a few years. Some years had poor conditions for white tea & some years I had trouble communicating w/ my source in Nepal. This year I worked harder on the communication because I missed the tea & I have noticed members have had difficulty obtaining darjeeling style tea lately.
Anyway, the tea is very flavorful, giving us the tastes we seek from tea from Nepal & Darjeeling. (I won't pretend to be able to separate 1st flush & 2nd flush well.) There is a very pleasing brightness to the brew. I don't add the word "fresh" because it leads to thinking of green tea & this Himalayan Snow has no hints of green tea's vegetal .... this a white tea w/ white's best feature, body to its soup that is light & thin-feeling while full of flavor w/o even a hint of being acrid. To have so much flavor, this type of tea's blend of flavors w/o any astringency is wonderful. The flavor's strength gets significantly weaker from infusion to infusion, but somehow it is enjoyable to drink even as "tea water". 100 grams for $42 (42 cents per gram); 50 grams for $25.

My oldest brother is enduring massive doses of chemotherapy which makes eating & drinking difficult for a few days every 3 weeks. He is finding this white tea, Himalayan Snow, very tolerable & enjoyable even on his worst days. "Delicate yet tasty" he has told me.
"Delicate" ? A surprising word. The defining flavor(s) of tea from Nepal & Darjeeling that I had enjoyed years back was spoiled by a bothersome astringency that often comes w/ such tea. Delicate was a missing characteristic.
Anyway, that unique flavor is good to have in one's cupboard even for those of us (including me) who have moved away from drinking such tea very often. (For me, a few times a month.)
Also, this tea is definitely best enjoyed hot. I often drink teas after they have cooled quite a bit, but this loses a lot once it gets too cool.
Cheers.

Muscatel. "Muscatel" grapes, muscatel wine was what would not come into my mind for weeks. A common, desired flavor for a category of tea of Darjeeling & Nepal. The Himalayan Snow has it very nicely for us; I've moved from wanting it a few times a month to twice a week.
My apologies for the lack of words that haunts me in my later years.

If you want some tea from me, please contact me soon. I'll be traveling soon. No orders taken for tea from May 3rd through June 28th.
Any advice about Penang, Malaysia is welcome. Will spend 6 days at a totally new place for us. We have not done that for decades.

This Spring I worked much harder to decide which teas to get to drink myself & sell. It's been years since I was in Thailand in May & June when the sun is directly overhead most of the day making me wonder if it can set me on fire (this is the hottest year). For several weeks the lowest temperature of days was 88 F & the highs of many days was 109 F. (Yes, in the 40s C.) So, I spent a lot of time in my air-conditioned hotel room being very serious about testing, sampling, & comparing teas while Nit enjoyed total control of the tv. Also, w/ so much time spent inside, I returned to some types of tea that I had abandoned the last few years.
Lightly oxidized oolong (gaoshan) from Taiwan this Spring presents greater fragrance & sweetness than usual. Again, tea not from the most famous mountains, offers excellent quality at lower prices than famous tea that sells for much more $ even when it is not better, or even not as good as the cheaper tea that does not have fame. My list of teas will soon show choices from high quality to top quality gaoshan chosen for quality & value.
Also, I opened up my range. I found some excellent Ruby 18 & a lightly roasted oolong (10% of full roast) that is difficult to get (tea that is roasted much more is what is common).
Also, Lishan Black & Oriental Beauty will be available in 60-gram packs as well as the 75s on offer now.
Cheers

I just learned that this Ruby 18 was grown without the use of pesticides. This explains the wonderful flavor of spices it features that often come with the best Oriental Beauty. Other black teas that I sell have notes of spices but not as strong as the Ruby 18 which was grown at lower altitude than they were. (Which makes it easier for the tiny aphids that bite tea leaves. The leaves repairing themselves from the bites creates the flavors.)
It's interesting to compare the Ruby 18 to Oriental Beauty. To have teas almost taste identical to each other but with different mouthfeels lets us have variety without needing to get away from flavors that we know we like. I've talked about spices but of course, the foundation of Ruby 18 is classy malt flavor that we also enjoy w/ the best Assam tea.
List of teas & how to order on bottom of previous page (page 8).

My computer went completely useless > 2 weeks ago. I just am coming out of the shock of how much I foolishly relied on it.
I don't remember passwords & don't have them written down, etc. Also I realize how much I live on a budget that leaves no
room for surprises. So, I want cash for a new computer.
I offer 40% off orders meeting the following condition: One must 2 or more packets of any of my teas other than my black teas
to qualify for the discount. Doing that allows purchasing black teas also at the discount.
Promotion will go until I can buy the computer that I eventually choose. (I don't know how to choose. I hardly do anything on computer.
I would like one that lasts at least 7 years.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Has anyone heard from Ethan lately? We PM'ed back and forth on Friday and I sent him a PayPal payment, but he hasn't checked his messages or confirmed receipt. I hope this is related to his computer issues and that he's okay.

Sorry, I am back online. Bit of inefficiency, bad use of time, etc. All is okay & I am handling things. Thanks for concern. Cheers.

The, help-me-get-a-computer promotion is finished.
I bought a used Mac & somehow am very slow to get cables & adaptors to wire it into my modem.
My Xfinity Wifi keeps thinking I am anintruder & demanding some security steps that I have not successfully
negotiated yet, but I will get there. (Currently at my local library.)
I thank everyone who purchased.
List of teas on bottom of page 8 has been revised. A few teas sold out.
Cheers
