Hello everyone,

Haven't been that active around here, but I've sold a few pieces before around the discord channels.

Doing a cleanup sale, so I am posting several items, mostly bowls and teapots.

I expect shipping to most places to be ~40$ but hopefully the prices counterbalance that. It's usually possible to pack 1-2 extra items (tea/teaware) from Japan if you have something else you've been looking at without too much extra shipping.

Shipping from Japan, check if it's possible to ship to your country here:
https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/infor ... ew_en.html

The pieces available in no particular order:
1. Kutani sometsuke sidehandle - 150ml full - Eizan (栄山) - 50$
2. Idutsu Toshihiko (井筒敏彦)Tenmoku Chawan - 14.5x6cm - 80$
3. Murata Yoshiki - Side handle yohen with box - 300ml full - 110$
4. Keiyo Kuwayama - Backhandle mogake teapot - 200ml full - 100$
5. Chinese Wood Fired Porcelain Cup - ~100ml usable - 40$
6. Yokoyama Tadanori (professor at Kyoto University of Ceramics) Hare's Fur Tenmoku from Shingama - 80$
7. Imaizumi Yoshinori - Hare's Fur Tenmoku Flat Chawan from - 110$
8. Katsurayama Kiln - Shino chawan with wooden box - 11x6cm - 60$
9. Mitsuaki Kato - Chun glaze chawan with wooden box - 13.5x6 - 80$
10. Hikidashi chawan small, unsigned wooden box - 10.5-11x8cm - 80$
11. Hikidashi chawan big, unsigned wooden box - 13.5x7.5cm - 110$
12. Sugimoto Mutsuko - Shigaraki chawan - 11.5-12x7cm - 180$
13. Ash glaze chawan, unkown artist/kiln - 14.5x7.5cm - 25$
14. Matsui Tomoyuki - Bizen chawan - 14x7 - 120$ - This is an early piece and is signed 初窯 for a first firing of the kiln when he moved to Bizen from Kyoto

Extra: Peanut chocolate bar rice bowl - 11.5x5.5cm - small piece with a couple of defects but a very nice clay texture. Comes for free with any of the other purchases if you want it. Also have a couple of extra small cups available.

Tried to take good pictures, DM me for more pics details etc. All items are in good/very good condition except the rice bowl, there is usually an extra picture for a piece to highlight a fault where needed. Some of the chawans (especially 10,11,12) have different defects due to the firing techniques, like small holes, chips etc

I see you have a several Heian pieces; Heian Shunpou, Heian Shougetsu, Heian Gyokudou. Curious if you know anything about the Heian kiln/family history? I have a few of their pieces. They are very finely made.

Heian by itself is not a family, it broadly refers to Kyoyaki wares. So the individual families/kilns here would be Shunpou, Shougetsu, Gyokudou, where each likely span several generations. Some like Shunpou and Seisho seem to have more of a presence online/abroad, while a lot of the others don't make it. There must be tens of them out there if not more.

Thank you yes Kyoyaki. Do you know anything more about Shunpou, Shougetsu, Gyokudou family/kilns? I happen to have collections of each but haven’t found much information yet, only know quality is very good.

There is not a lot of information about most of these Kyoto potters online, even in Japanese.

Found something on Shunpou here:
http://shunteian.com/%E5%8F%96%E6%89%B1 ... 6%EF%BC%89

For Gyokudou, I didn't find much but it seems I was wrong and this piece is from Housen (宝泉) and there is some info available here:
https://shoindo.com/?pid=152752458

Nothing on Shougetsu unfortunately.

Thanks you @umami appreciate any information you can share regarding porcelain Kyoyaki. I’ve held off starting a topic focusing on Kyoyaki artisan teaware hoping to gather more information first, so please do share with us 🍃

I've tried finding more information about these online, but it is very scarce unfortunately. There is more information about Mikawachi Yaki - one of my favorite regions for porcelain - here: https://www.mikawachiware.or.jp.
