Forgot to mention that I'm located in Seattle(U.S) and that the cost of shipping will be determined before payment. International shipments will then of course unfortunately cost a bit more to ship out then if you're located outside of the U.S

Nice Shiboridashi. Does the spout have any rake marks for ease of pour? Can’t make out that detail. Looks like it’s smooth, maybe the lid shape provides the needed gap for liquid to pour out.

No rake marks on this one. This is the only shiboridashi I've ever owned so I don't know how typical it is, but it looks like the area behind the lip has been smoothed out right in between where the lid normally sits. I've never had any issue with whole leaf or any large pieces falling into the cup so it hasn't been particularity an issue for me. Maybe the texture on the inside helps the leaves stay in place?

The space in between where the lip and the lid meet are quite narrow too so maybe that also helps with keeping leaf in. Many of Jozan III's(Fugetsu's teacher) shiboridashi I've noticed too are made without any additional means to keep leaf inside. If its not broken don't fix it, I guess? ;)

Thanks for extra images. Really simple device to just scoop out an area on shibo body and let the lid hold back most of the leaves, so liquor can pass through. You are right about Jozan shibos being simple like this as well. @pedant has a Hokujo shibo like this too without the rake marks.

Perhaps the rake marks are something craftsmen have been adding relatively recently?
Makes me want to search for a few antique shibo just to find out
