Huh, seems the consensus is that it’s even better to do less.
It might be a consensus, but you’ll need to try it out yourself to determine if you like it or not.

Personally, 180ml is way too small for PuErh.

Cheers!
I'm very curious to know what your sheng puer tastes like when you brew it in a 180ml+ pot for 1 person.

Meant to share that I also 3/4 fill a 350ml Jozan kyusu with FuShouShan, so the thick leaves can fully unfurl (filling to 225ml+-). What Shine Magical said earlier about heat being lost is true, although with the lid on it still retains a lot of heat. I also only partially fill this pot with some sencha, works well. In another thread this topic was also discussed.

Also worth mentioning that heat loss is much less of a problem in hot and humid south east Asia :)

Well, my house is always a comfy 68F. And honestly, I prefer my tea to steep a tad bit colder. More forgiving that way. Harder to oversteep. If i understeep it’s no biggie, just make it hotter next time. But once you’ve oversteeped that icky taste is just...bleh.

I’ll post my pots when they arrive. :)
