Homage to my Kierros Matcha Bowl from Teavana.

Many years of enjoyment. It shattered this morning when I dropped it.

For years I wanted to buy copies, but the company stopped making it and nobody else, at least on the Internet, was offering glass match bowls.

Luckily, as of this morning, there are now at least 2 choices for glass matcha bowl on Amazon.com

A few years back I broke a very thin porcelain cup I’d been using for several years almost daily. As I was drying it the cup cracked in my hand, my heart sunk. It was very thin, perfectly proportioned to the hand. Researching the stamp on the bottom of the bowl I learned it was a Worcester tea bowl from 1886. I created a search on eBay to see if a similar one would come up, but so far nothing. I did manage to glue it back together really nicely with JBWeld, but for whatever reason don’t use it. In an attempt to replace the bowls feel and proportions I have ended up with a collection of Canton pieces made around the same time. I have since continued to collect fine tea bowls.
