The finds of the day: antique cups
So I had a lazy rainy Sunday and went to one of the local Jade markets. Found something real among all the mountains of fake or sketchy stuff! Three douqing 豆青 pieces, two cups and one small dish. Late Qing early ROC most likely. Interesting detail: the dishes all had tiny engraved names on them, maybe useful to mark your stuff during a neighbourhood festival or in shared cooking facilities?

And the fourth, another cup, probably ROC period. I’ve seen those on sale at Chawangshop in the past, but they seem rarer than all the blue-white stuff.

Some have hairline cracks but overall good enough condition, the whole lot cost me under 20 Euros, which is what I have seen some places charge for one such cup alone! And I was probably paying a little foreigner tax on top...
